Hi and welcome to my blog where I share ideas that resonate and I hope they resonate with you too. This Friday blog finally has a title, it’s a bit long I know but Fridays Are For Love (FAFL). This first Friday of 2020 I am hoping we can Be Brave!
A brand new year starts out with a high for most of us, we entered the new year like we had been gifted our ultimate dreams. We have new vision boards and some of us even got new phone numbers to cut out some people from last year. This is the year we have said time and again, we have the ideas and they blow us away every time we think of them.
We have the blueprint and its exciting us to no end, but now it’s been 3 days and we are no longer on that high, we have been brought to earth by the heaviness of gravity. Our 2020 story has began to feel alot like our 2019 story. We are passionate, we have the plans, we have the people lined up, what’s left is the bravery is to execute.
In the famous saying, Rome wasn’t built in a day, we are Rome, but know that in Rome they were laying bricks every hour.
Bravery to take the next step for me has been finding the strength to monetize my writing. But I’ve never actually had the courage to monetize because of one of many fears. How do I price it? Is it worth being paid for? Am I good enough? What if no one buys? What if they laugh in my face? What if?
Time was inevitably spent on my worries than on testing my doubt. So 2020 for me is about being brave, taking the steps toward achieving something that’s been under lock and key in my head. I still have those fears and worry but instead of them remaining as theories in my head I want to exercise them.
It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.

This quote literally tells me not to over think before I’ve gathered the facts and the truth is I had no facts because I had never put myself in the position to gather the facts and so I theorized instead.
2020 is for the brave, for those willing to get their hands dirty searching for facts that will propel them a step further. A step taken consistently is more powerful than an incredible thrust forward, followed by stagnation.
May this be the year that we decide to act out all our dreams putting fear aside and following the goals we have set for ourselves. May this be the year we become brave and let our dreams loose to dance upon the moon until they are finally realised.
Be brave for all your dreams lay on the other side of fear. Happy 2020 and may we achieve the desires of our heart.
