What is equal and how would we measure it?

I had a rather interesting conversation with a certain female, ranging from religion and how God must have favourites, to feminism and how we are all to blame for this cycle we find ourselves in but the conversation that usurped every other was, equality.
What makes people equal? Is it there indivisible human rights placed by the fact that they have been born? Is it what they have or own? That measures equality

This is what equality is defined by society and by this regard we will never be equal. It’s just not possible to be equal in status or opportunities and being equal on rights is dependent on knowing what these rights are.
So can we be equal, is it realistic?
I believe we are equal, I also believe regardless of knowing your rights we are equal and this is the proof. Life happens to us all.
But once we pick the microscope from the table and start using it to compare ourselves to the lives of others. We discover that the shades we cover our eyes with when we compare our situation to others will is not helpful.
I know, the world is on fire, a child from a war torn country and a child from a peaceful country can’t be compared as equals, that’s ludicrous, right? But if I was to ask, what exactly stops them from being equal?
Would your answer be, about their different struggles measured up against each other. War will always win against homework pressure, but unfortunately that isn’t what we speak of when we speak on equality.
I believe we are equal because we are human beings, we are birthed from a womb. Sickness and death follow us all around and no matter what we amass while alive, when we die, we take nothing with us, not our status in society, not our money and not even our memories.
Truly life is a mess, with all our own problems we should spend less time comparing who has it worse and be grateful, when we can, for what we have. If we can help those in need of help, then let’s help. Not because they are less and we are greater but because they are just like us, flesh and bone, simply going through their version of hell and we can provide some help, momentarily quenching the fires that seek destruction.
We are equal maybe life doesn’t seem that way because in human context we want to compare with those around us and that only muddies the water.
No one is better just like no one is less, there will never be better. However every action has its price and its pleasure, recognising both sides a warrior becomes realistic and responsible for their actions.

We are all amazing creations of majestic wonder. We all have our stories and that is what makes us all different from each other. Different does not neglect equal, we are equal and different. It is this difference that makes any comparison void hence making us all, EQUAL.
Do you think we are all equal? If not please leave a comment why you disagree or agree with me. Peace and love…
