Writing for my new poetry book has been so beautiful and freeing and still on going. But I was having a chat with a friend and this concept of loniless just wouldn’t let go of me and I thought even as the writing continues this was a beautiful moment.
What is loneliness if not a solo date you are not enjoying?
A table set for one, a meal eaten in silence
The world outside, a distant hum, a buzz of all that’s missing. The weight of ones own company, a burden undefined
But what if this solo date was enjoyable?
To savor the flavors of our thoughts, to delight in the beauty of solitude. To find comfort in stillness, to discover the door to peace that’s found within. To recognize that loneliness is not a curse, but perhaps a chance to rediscover ourselves, to find our voice and heart.
What is loneliness if not a solo date we are not enjoying? A time to redefine the terms and conditions, to change the narrative. To find beauty in the silence, discover the contentment in our own company. To love ourselves, and be comfortable in solace.
