One of my Uncles is being buried today and in all the heaviness of death and questioning mortality I was triggered.
Sometimes news of demise hits but we are numb because death has constantly been in our faces these past few years. I pity doctors and nurses who the routine of this has made them numb as part of their survival instincts.
Protecting your mental health is important, whether it’s talking to a trained professional (116) or your best friend. Talking honestly about the things weighing on us is a massive step in shifting the problem and finding our own healing.
Everyone suffers from something, and we can either choose to bury it in our secret closet until the space finishes or we can slowly clean it up.
This doesn’t mean life won’t be unfair but at least you’ll know how best YOU can deal with it.
I write, some I’ll never share for various reasons but writing is my own form of therapeutic massage. It doesn’t always solve the problems but it solves my perception and attitude so I write, even with tears coming out of my eyes. I write
