Sibaka SZN 2
One of my privileges in life is being able to get into the booth, turn the faders up and open the radio waves to the unknown. Radio is such a beautiful experience, I have had plenty of shows, let’s zone in on one called Sibaka on DC Talk Radio 90.9FM.
Sibaka is a Lozi word translated to mean ‘Space’ I love, I mean love doing this show. Because through this show I’ve gotten a peak of the creative life in Zambia and how beautiful it is but also how difficult a tertian it is to navigate.
After a long break away from the studio Sibaka SZN 2 is currently in production and for this SZN we are ripping the studio apart, no more coming into the studio feeling awkward, I’m coming to you, your space, your reality, your stories. The creation is beautiful, but it’s nothing without the creator and all that has shaped and moulded you into the creative we have before us.
Listen with me to the amazing stories of Zambians using their talents and gifts to create. It’s not easy to create, to be vulnerable and put it out there on display for the world. I hope through these conversations we can understand why they do it and hopefully it engenders a further appreciate for creatives and establish their value to society beyond a reasonable doubt.
Creatives are more that musicians, or painters and this SZN even more than before I will aim to search and prune them all out, in their space.
Below is the guest list for most of the creatives I had a sit down with from SZN 1 most of you were amazing, a few of you were stressful I won’t lie, I appreciate you and you do amazing things but every time I think of you I have to sit down and think again. But most of y’all were the real MVPs and I appreciate you, more next CHAPTER!
What I’m hoping to do, is to make content that can be sold for radio programs. I don’t know how but practice makes something….
