I had the pleasure of speaking with Destro, live OnAir via WhatsApp call and because of how absolutely inspired I felt after the show I thought why not give my two cents of the project also.

SECRETS originated as 1 song that Destro slices artistically for the pallet to consume into 6 songs, 7 if you check audiomack

Because it’s 1 song apportioned 7 pieces Destro released it without naming the pieces expect calling them, Track 1 up to Track 7. If you check itunes you’ll find these very songs have actual titles and that’s mostly cause different people who heard the project got the chance to suggest titles.

After Destro spent two projects provoking us he decided to delve deeper and reveal a SECRET. A timely SECRET considering we are in an age where exclusive relationships are now the new open relationship.

We find a younger Destro, probably before he stuck with the name, telling us his tale of what he went through with an old girlfriend.

This isn’t the usual material you would expect as Destro raps through a large part of the project instead of the usual poetic disposition we are met.

When it comes to delivery Destro hardly skips a beat even when he goes in, rapping in Nyanja.

Destro is easily relatable and as always he leaves you provoked enough to ask yourself questions that hopefully lead to growth.
