The amazing gift of interaction comes from knowing that other people’s words can cause an insight into something previously explored but now unlocked for this new level.
We say it all the time, the system is designed against us, whether you still agree with these sentiments or not, I’m certain you can agree that there are systems working all around us.
A “perfect” system delivers “perfect” results, I say this with quotes because really what is perfect? But a system we all can be happy and proud off can be considered perfect. And a flawed system delivers excuses, scapegoats, and “justice”.
Back to systems, remember when you had to have a study system because you had to be ready for exams. What about a morning system? Some systems are so intricate that you’d never even guess, but you always tie your right shoe first…
Some even swear, that if one thing is off from their system, then everything just goes sour about their day.
When we take a step back and notice our country a bit better, especially during loadshedding hours when the silence is most deafening. Because with the situation surrounding our electricity struggles one fact strikes hardest we are equally all to blame.
Not the sexiest climax to be found in, but the truth is difficult.
But how is it our combined faults? Well through the many systems that by our lack of general concern or lack of involvement we have broken the systems thereby allowing the scourge.
In the system, what is our role? We have plenty of roles all with different names housed under the accountability umbrella. Another not so sexy word, welp!
Accountability, because in the SYSTEM it’s our responsibility to ask questions of public institutions and they have to provide answers and then prove to us why they are best suited to serve our combined needs, theirs included.
We want a great future, a great land, a great relationship, an even better love story. When the opportunity to create all these “great” things we want presents itself, will we be ready and willing to help the system run effectively.
The 2020 draft budget is a great place to start, ask where confusion clouds judgement, listen to the speeches and analyse what’s happening and mostly be informed with what is happening in your country.
We are part of the SYSTEM and maybe we should stop thinking of that as such a bad thing, or maybe I’m just a dreamer.
