I was so worked up about representation today that I wrote a whole rant about, Represent and what I think it means to me. Especially in today’s polarising self.
What does being a Zambian mean for me? What does it represent? To be Zambian means what aii?
The cycles I see don’t make me a huge fan of our shrouded history. I made a post the other talking about not being a fan of the netflix show because it hurts the representation. No disrespect to the people who worked on it, the show is another example of how powerless we are on the world stage.
So Zambian’s do have accents, but before this show most Zambian’s would have refused. Good comes out of everything after all.😅
Then our President gave a powerful speech and I really felt so proud. I’m still proud but it got me thinking, 3 decades into life and all I’ve known is Zambia needs to pay back debtðŸ˜the cycles are killing mental health.
Anyway, what are some of the things you think represent Zambia?

I think our ability to overcome even the most adverse situations. And friendliness and peace. Especially on the world stage.
Side note, haven’t received these emails in a while. I was quite ecstatic to see this in my inbox. I concur with you about the Netflix show especially considering the creator is Zambian.
